One of the most unique pizza events in the country returns to San Francisco tomorrow, and no better way to get the electricity going than to take a look back at last year’s Ooni Amateur Pizza Competition. Fifteen local pizzamakers came to North Beach for the third annual SF PizzaFest by Tony Gemignani, and only one went home victorious. We would’ve loved to cover every single pizza, but for the sake of time went with the two most unique and compelling.
