Top 3 Company Outings of 2023: According to Producer Reese

One aspect of company culture that makes working at OneTake Media so unique (and enjoyable of course) is its company outings with the boys. Ever since its inception in January of 2023, this has been one of my favorite extracurricular activities here at OTM. For those who are unfamiliar, our company outings were the brainchild of Danny Dials. Basically, once a month the OneTake Mafia (employees and friends of the program alike) will hit the town on a Friday or Saturday night, grab a few drinks, hop a few bars, and dominate the night! The purpose behind these outings? It’s all done in the name of company bonding. I’ve also noticed that these outings have increased our productivity, in the sense that we feel like we need to earn them each month.

We’ve had company outings in various places throughout San Francisco, however our de facto home base ended up being the Marina. And yes, the Marina babes and Marina bros get hype when they find out the OneTake crew is out there for the night. This being said, here is a list of our most notable nights out from 2023 (I will rank them after):

• January 2023 - North Beach and the Marina featuring Dan, Producer Reese, and Tony Bautista

• February 2023 - North Beach featuring another guest appearance from Tony Bautista

• March 2023 - Producer Reese Birthday Celebration/March Madness Watch Party in the Panhandle feat. TI and Young Emilio!

• May 2023 - Danny Dials Birthday in the Marina with special guests Tony Bautista and Camo Kevin

• June 2023 - Golden Gate Fields and the Turf Club with another appearance from TI; (we would’ve gone out that night too, but Producer Reese was being a bit soft- it was a debacle)

• July 2023 - North Beach with guest star Michael Stober and a minor appearance from JSandyCam; Also went to Tony’s Pizza for company dinner, shoutout to Danny Dials

• August 2023 - Dan and Producer Reese stuff the Balboa Cafe in their back pockets

Out of all these nights out, here are my top 3 favorite ones:

3. March 2023

Wings, beer chugging, and NCAA men’s elite eight, on St. Paddy’s Day weekend… at the Kezar Pub!? What could make this night much better? How about an appearance from TI… And how about another appearance from Young Emilio (definitely a rare one). We partook in some quality bonding that night. It was fun to see Dan and TI bringing the fire with their back and forth commentary on the game (especially with how hype they get). It was even more fun to see Dan stuff Emilio in a locker with a beer chug. If I remember correctly, Young Emilio also hit an electric griddy that night (he out-griddied me).

2. January 2023

This would be our first company outing. The first one is always the most memorable (to me at least), and boy did we make some funny ass memories that night. We started in North Beach, spent a couple hours there first, and grabbed some pizza from Tony’s Slice House (I over ordered and had to eat my pride- almost puked). All the sudden Tony Bautista wants to head over to the Marina because he claims that’s where the action is. So we Uber from North Beach to a karaoke bar in the Marina called Silver Clouds. When we get there, Bautista gets all rocked because it’s not exactly popping yet- Dan also starts grilling him intensely. Shit was hilarious. Anyway, the place did get a little more packed out throughout the night and we all had a fun time. I saw some of my old friends, Bautista got on stage with his buddies and started lip syncing to Bieber, and Danny Dials was getting hit on by the babes.

3. May 2023

Speaking of getting hit on by the babes, Danny Dials was on a hot streak this night. This was the exact day of Dan’s 30th birthday, so the boys showed up and we hit the Marina. Me, Tony Bautista, Camo Kevin, and Danny Dials- what a crew! Anyway, without going into too much detail, all the babes could sense the electricity coming from Dan. Bro was getting swarmed, straight babe magnet. We all managed to hop to and from a couple of bars, putting each one in our back pocket- starting with The Blue Light, heading to the Union Bar, and ending the night at none other than the Comet Club. I think I had my cowboy hat on that night too.
