I’m always open for monthly nominations for the next short king of the month. Our next short king, Santa Cruz Medicinals- aka Brendan Ruh, was nominated for April’s slot and ended up successfully taking it. Now before I get into his accomplishments as a short king, I must disclose that I have no confirmed height of Brendan. However, trusted sources have told me that he is in the 5’8” range- barely making the cut off. In most cases, 5’8” would be considered a healthy average height. However, we are going off of the Marina babe scale, and a Marina babe would consider 5’8” to be short king territory.
Not sure if Brendan is a friend of our program (as he doesn’t follow us back on Instagram), however, Onetakemedia is a big supporter of Brenadan and his ventures. I’ve always seen some of Brendan’s posts on my personal IG explore page, but I’ve never stopped to scroll through his account until now. What can I say, I love everything about what this guy is doing. Right off the bat, he is a dedicated health advocate. He makes a ton of content about nutrition, fitness, supplements, and general vitality.
The cool part about the advice that he gives, is that the proof is in the pudding. Brendan has an exceptional physique and he seems to be a very level headed, down to Earth dude. I wouldn’t be surprised if he practiced everything that he preached to his followers. Speaking of followers, he has a well deserved mass following on Instagram. And besides the videos he makes on food and supplements, he also posts a lot about the activities that keep him in shape. It looks like he enjoys surfing, lifting, and he also trains Jiu Jitsu. Fuck yeah. I strive to get on his level of physical activity.
Almost forgot to mention that Brendan does a lot of promotion for his own brand, Santa Cruz Medicinals. By the looks of the website, it looks like SCM sells a lot of CBD infused supplements/formulas. All the products are highly rated, lab tested, and domestically produced. Those are some pretty good specs for supplements, if you ask me. I couldn’t complain at all.
To wrap things up, I’d like to reiterate that I’m not 100% sure that Brendan is a short king. However, if he does meet the criteria, I would love to see him make more content about male height. Videos about the physical advantages, longevity, and mental health as a short dude would be cool to see. Either way, keep up the good work Brendan!
Happy Short King Spring,

Editor's Note:
Yea Producer Reese, Brendan is slowly but surely building an empire in the supplement/wellness/electrolyte space with his brand he co-founded. Credit to him, great vision and he's been at it for a while now now. Met him 7 or 8 years back when he was just getting started, done super well, my age too in early thirties. Would love to see you two roll on the mat and I think I could take him in an arm wrestle - hope he'll like to represent the short king community, though he is indeed borderline height wise. Santa Cruz = best spot in California. - Dan
