It's About the Program: Oregon Wins the Battle, Colorado Will Win the War
Colorado just got smoked in Eugene - couldn't make any sort of stop on defense (besides a missed throw from Bo Nix that turned into an INT), O-line got dominated, Shedeur Sanders was playing like the Ducks D-Line was a bunch of high schoolers and he could make throws with two guys on him, but […]

Producer Reese Visits the Lodi Grape Festival: One of the Central Valley's Most Hype Celebrations
Here at OneTake Media, we LOVE covering events, doesn’t matter what it is (well it kind of does). Our basic rule of thumb is the weirder the event, the more electric it is going to be. While the rest of the OneTake team was talking shop for OTR, Producer Reese went on a solo circle jerk […]

NCAA & NFL Picks - Patriots are a bad football team
Miss St sucks man, yikes that one was bad. But outside of that stinker we went 3-1 last week on recorded picks: Honestly should have been a great weekend but then NFL reared its ugly head on Sunday and wiped away all the hard work we put in Saturday. Second week in a row we […]

A Few Words on Robb Gaffney from Someone He Inspired
Three years ago while getting ready for another ski season up at Squaw Valley (now Palisades Tahoe) I stumbled upon one of the great documentaries of our time, GNAR, and the coinciding book and game (Squallywood and Gaffney's Numerical Assessment of Radness) as a recommendation from my friend James. I was talking with another friend […]

NCAA Week 3, this shit can't keep happening
I want to list out some of the bets that I have had so far this season: To say the season has been "smooth sailing" to start would be... well it would a lie. I have been on the losing end of some horrible beats, head scratchers (wtf Buffalo), and bad numbers. Any person with […]

Top 5 Young Emilio Moments, According to Producer Reese (2022-2023 Edition)
Was having a conversation with Danny Dials last night, and while discussing the various Discord usernames that Young Emilio has had over the past year or so, it made me think about how much I miss our guy. He’s a busy man- he loves shopping, watching his dogs, promoting his film organization, and practicing his […]

5 Predictions for the TB12 Retirement Ceremony in Foxboro
*TB12 and RKK are always boys, from Israel to Foxboro and everywhere in between. The Patriots are an organization known for playing their best football in November and December, so opening night isn't always the biggest focus. We save that for the Colts, the Steelers, Bills, etc. The good, simple fan bases with the scarcity […]

A One Day Late Labor Day Reflection...
Yesterday was Labor Day, which is a holiday that I don't have much of an affinity for. Some may argue that it's great because it's still technically summer and there's college football on the television, fall is in the air, etc. but all I can think of when I hear 'Labor Day' is when adults around me as a youngster would say we had to be at school the Wednesday after - not fun.

The Producer Reese Lying Saga: A Commemoration - Featuring his Reflection Paper from 1.20.23
Time flies... A little over a year ago Dan, Producer Reese, and Young Emilio we're out filming in the Marina. Producer Reese dominated Dan in a contest of ring dips, but that's a story for another day. Right before Dan and Young Emilio went off to go film at La Festa 2022, the crew filmed […]

James Franklin is a piece of shit... and some week 1 random thoughts
I need to vent. Boy oh boy do I hate Pennsylvania. The NCAA should have given Penn State football the death penalty a long time ago. I don't think this statement needs much more of an explanation. The program has tried very hard to move past the crimes against humanity that we will not discuss […]

NCAA Football Week 1
Who would have ever guessed not getting a press pass to film at Golden Gate Fields could single handedly destroy a company, but it definitely did. Been a while since I have blogged here consistently and while I am a man of faith and accountability, the no press pass really killed the company. Look at […]

Unlike the Patriots, the San Francisco Forty Niners Handle their QB Situation Properly and Risk it All on Brock Purdy - Trade Trey Lance to Cowboys
After an uncertain offseason at the QB position down in Santa Clara, as cited by our devoted Niners blogger Tavis Ino, GM John Lynch and head coach Kyle Shanahan have ended the Trey Lance experiment after just two short seasons and decided to hand over the reins of their Super Bowl contending roster to the young gun Brock Purdy this past weekend.

Boston Native Alex Cobb Comes One Out away from a No-Hitter for the Giants at Oracle Park - and He's Gotta Be Pissed at his Right Fielder
While Gabe Kapler has been focusing a lot of the 2023 Giants campaign on his local instagram food brand, Alex Cobb didn't hear no bell on the season after pitching a brilliant one-hitter on Tuesday evening. The Giants defeated the Reds and moved back into that second wildcard spot in the National League - I liked it when the MLB only had eight teams make the playoffs as a whole, but that's a story for a different day.

Belichick Cuts the Best Patriots QB Prospect since Tom Brady Going Into the '23 Season
Nothing like the end of August/early September for some classic Belichick misdirection - whether it's cutting Lawyer Milloy in '03 right before Week 1 against the Bills, trading Richard Seymour to the Raiders before the '09 season, or trading/releasing/signing Jamie Collins what seemed like double digit times, nobody like Bill to keep you on the edge of your seat for final roster cuts. He surprised the Patriots fanbase once again today by cutting 2022 4th round pick and only quarterback who was a legitimate threat under center last year in Bailey Zappe.

Groundhogs Day in July: The 49ers QB Conundrum
Good looks, a happy life, and spouse are no guarantees in life. But these three things are; death, taxes, and talking about the San Francisco 49ers quarterback room. Yup, its 2023.. training camp just kicked off.. the team has super bowl aspirations and the fan base is still obsessed with talking about one position and […]

STOCKTONCON 2023: Where all the nerds of the Central Valley unite
Yet another eventful weekend in the Central Valley with Producer Reese (me). This past Sunday I was able to attend Stockton's 11th annual "StocktonCon." Very similar to the world famous "ComicCon," StocktonCon is a pop-culture convention which features a large variety of vendors, celebrity meet and greets, and other forms of random entertainment. The event […]

NBA Offseason Part 1: Marcus Smart Opening Press Conference in Memphis
The Marcus Smart trade a few weeks back hit a lot of Celtic fans hard, but I found myself surprisingly optimistic. Dude was the most tenured Celtic with 9 seasons under his belt, and led a rebuild effort that included 5 ECF appearances in 7 seasons and 1 Finals appearance. Would have loved to see […]

Taylor Swift Fans are referring to her as 'Mother'... Interesting
Last night at midnight EST, music icon Taylor Swift released her latest album: Speak Now (Taylor's Version). The song selection is a combination of re-recorded versions of her originally released 'Speak Now' from 2010, and six new unreleased songs 'from the vault' - not sure when they were written, but I listened to them this afternoon and I'd imagine they were written somewhat recently based on the style and flow - credit to me, knowing Taylor's style.

Life in the Central Valley - Chapter 5: Plinking
I’ve been waiting quite a while to write this article. As such, I will call this one a “Life in the Central Valley Special” because, yes, shooting is a very big part of Central Valley culture. Every so often, maybe once a month or so, my buddies and I will travel about an hour east […]
