I need to vent. Boy oh boy do I hate Pennsylvania.
The NCAA should have given Penn State football the death penalty a long time ago. I don't think this statement needs much more of an explanation. The program has tried very hard to move past the crimes against humanity that we will not discuss on this blog. However, I don't think they can ever do that as long as they continue to employ scumbags like James Franklin.
In case you missed ABC's snoozer of a 4:30pm game between West Virginia and Penn State (PSU looked like shit lowkey), James Franklin put on a masterclass in having no class and being an overall piece of shit. Penn State had a commanding 24 point lead headed late into the fourth quarter. West Virginia, in typical coal miner tough fashion would not back down and scored late in the game and converted on the 2pt conversion to make a 16 point game. After failing to convert an onside kick, the game was all but over with about 2 minutes and change left. WVU would go back to Morganstown covering the 21, and PSU could jump back on the hype train despite not playing that good.
Dickhead James Franklin had other ideas. Never ever in my life have I seen a coach up 16 when his opponent has no timeouts go for it on fourth and short. Let alone pass it on fourth and short. Keep in mind, the PSU kicker had missed two chip shots earlier in the game, wouldn't you want to get him a look? That itself would be a bit of an asshole move, but ok. I can stomach that, got to get the kids confidence up, especially in the Big 10... points matter. Nope, dumb idiot bald moron James Franklin dials up a 4th and short pass play and converts. First down, ok cool... game over? Nope.
With less than 10 seconds left and a running clock Penn St's bozo back up QB got pushed five yards into the end zone to score with six seconds left. Zero class move by a zero class institution. Sports gambling is legal in Pennsylvania, the game was played at home in front of all of those boozed up idiots with horrible accents. You are telling me that Franklin didn't know the spread? You are telling me that James Franklin had no pressure from his bozo boosters to cover that spread? Personally, I would like an investigation. I wouldn't put it past an institution like PSU to be involved in a gambling scandal. I can't wait for Penn State to miss the college football playoff again. And I swear on everything that I love I will get this money back and then some, because I will be looking for every spot to fade the Nittany Lions for the rest of the year. James Franklin, I hope you burn the top of your mouth every time you eat pizza for the rest of your fucking life. Scumbag.
Despite these bozos ruining my 3-0 blog performance, the weekend went ok. Fresno St won outright (Mountain West, Mountain West blog!), Florida St pissed all over LSU, and tonight I had Duke +13 (not blogged) and they upset Clemson.. whoa!
